Egypt and the United Nations
Egypt has been a member of the United Nations since 1946 and the UN in Egypt's Mission is committed to promoting human rights and a high quality of life for all by building strong partnerships with the Government, developing national capacity and advocating change.

The United Nations Country Team for Egypt facilitates inter-agency coordination between the United Nations agencies and organizations in Egpyt. This is led by the United Nations Resident Coordinator, who is the designated representative of the United Nations Secretary General.
